Thursday, August 03, 2017, 05:30pm - 07:00pm
The Luzerne County Historical Society is holding a Portrait Walk on Thursday, August 3, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Westmoreland Club, 59 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Our guides will show off the LCHS portrait collection (on loan to the Club). Learn about the people of the past and their contributions to Luzerne County. See if you can pick out the brewer, the lawyers, the bankers and the politicians. Get to know the impact that these men and women had on Luzerne County and, sometimes, the United States. Learn more about how they solved – or didn’t – some of the same challenges we face today.
Tickets for LCHS members are $25; non-members are $35. Enjoy a glass of complimentary champagne (and cash bar) with light appetizers. Reservations are required, please email reservations@luzernehistor>y.org or call 570-823-6244 ext. 3. Information on the “Club casual” dress code can be found at: http://www.westmorelandclub.org/Default.aspx?p=DynamicModule&pageid=369778&ssid=282897&vnf=1. Sponsored by the Bergman Foundation.
