The USS Wilkes-Barre, named after the city of Wilkes-Barre, was a Cleveland Class Light Cruiser that launched in 1943, participated in the Pacific Theater during World War II , and was the last Light Cruiser in the US inventory. The poster design is inspired by wartime posters during World War II, and shows the USS Wilkes-Barre at launch.
