FreeJoin us on Friday May 12 at the WVIA Studios for a festival of early American Film. Featuring 6 silent films created by Lyman Howe and others, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A. Come learn about the impact local filmmakers had on the American film industry during its infancy.
Lyman Howe was a pioneering filmmaker from Wilkes-Barre who first added sound to film, as well as creating his own projection system, innovating using moving trains and planes in film, and many other “firsts”.
